<\/g><\/svg><\/a>I. Arriving in Bogot\u00e1 \ud83d\udeec<\/h2>\n

To kick things off, let’s start with the first steps when arriving in Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n

<\/g><\/svg><\/a>Covid requirements \ud83d\ude37<\/h3>\n

Vaccination or a negative test result is needed for entry.<\/p>\n

Please inform yourself here<\/a>, or use your home country\u2019s embassy page as requirements might change. Also, be aware that your airline or transit company might have additional requirements.<\/p>\n

<\/g><\/svg><\/a>Entering the country \ud83c\udde8\ud83c\uddf4<\/h3>\n

<\/g><\/svg><\/a>Return flight<\/h4>\n

You\u2019ll need to show a ticket for your returning flights to enter Colombia.<\/strong> They sometimes ask for it, and sometimes they don\u2019t, but play it safe and book your trips accordingly.<\/p>\n

Pro tip<\/em>: Some travel sites like Priceline make it easy to book a flight and then cancel within 24 hours for a full refund, in case plans change.<\/p>\n

<\/g><\/svg><\/a>Check-Mig<\/h4>\n

Between 24 hours and 1 hour before departure, you must fill out the \u2018Check-Mig\u2019 form<\/a>, available on the Migraci\u00f3n Colombia website. You will receive a confirmation email to present upon arrival in Colombia.<\/p>\n

<\/g><\/svg><\/a>Safety \ud83d\udc77\u200d\u2640\ufe0f<\/h3>\n

A local expression in Bogot\u00e1 is: “No dar papaya” = “Don’t give papaya (to thieves)”. It essentially means, don\u2019t make yourself an obvious target: use common sense while in Bogot\u00e1. That means:<\/p>\n
