It could also support \u201cnear-instant settlement\u201d and round-the-clock access for some products.<\/p>\n<p>He said <a href=\"https:\/\/crypto.news\/tokenization-startup-brix-raises-5-5m-to-bring-institutional-em-yield-on-chain\/\" target=\"_blank\">tokenization<\/a> may become part of the ETF market, but practical use cases still need more time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cMy view on tokenization is that it will become part of the ETF ecosystem, but we\u2019re a couple of years away from some good use cases,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition, JPMorgan is already studying tokenization through Kinexys, its blockchain business unit. The bank has used the unit to explore how blockchain can support financial markets and settlement systems.<\/p>\n<p>The comments show that large financial firms still see value in tokenized assets, even as they take a cautious view on timing. <a href=\"https:\/\/crypto.news\/jpmorgan-defi-hacks-and-flat-tvl-sour-institutional-appetite\/\" target=\"_blank\">JPMorgan\u2019s<\/a> position suggests that tokenization may grow through tested use cases rather than fast market adoption.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regulators and exchanges show growing interest<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Traditional finance firms and regulators have shown more interest in tokenized assets. The focus has included equities, funds, and other products that trade only during market hours.<\/p>\n<p>SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce recently urged firms working on tokenized products to speak directly with the agency. The SEC has also allowed some tokenization-related efforts, including a Nasdaq rule change for tokenized share trading.<\/p>\n<p>Major firms, including the New York Stock Exchange, Robinhood, Kraken, and Coinbase, are also working on tokenized equity products.
